the high desert
hangs a rain tail
from a cloud

~

Destruction Island
protects Ruby Beach
from wayward sailors

~

for luck I hang
a full moon
over the garden

~

a vulture circles
seven times
before landing

~

a sealion wears
fishing gear
around his neck

Well, I like the first and 3rd the best. I have seen the rain tail and the full moon hanging over the garden. Nicely done. I live in the desert and I like birds also.

I appreciate you sharing these all. I read the last one differently, thinking of the sea lion as a sailor. (The comments straightened me out.) I did like it with my interpretation. It is sad with the other.
